My paintings begin there.
Working through abstraction, texture, gesture and layers, I explore the interior landscapes where emotion, memory and perception meet.
The work isn't meant to tell you what to feel.
It is an invitation to notice what you already do.

The work has evolved through different landscapes over time.
Some bodies of work emerge from a particular emotional territory. Others develop slowly, revealing themselves through repetition, experimentation and change.
Together, they trace the questions that continue to follow me as an artist.

The Life Behind the Work
I've always been interested in what happens beneath the surface.
Before painting became the center of my practice, my life moved through theater, performance, scholarship, teaching, motherhood and the many unexpected turns that shape a person over time.
All of those experiences continue to inform the way I see.
Painting became another language for exploring what is difficult to put into words … the physical experience of emotion, the persistence of memory, the atmosphere of a moment, and the things we carry without always realizing it.
I work intuitively, allowing each painting to develop through layers of color, texture, movement and change.
The finished work is never entirely mine anymore.
It belongs, in part, to the person who sees something in it.
